On December 4th, 2014 OPPLE opened its first retail store in Ilolio City, Philippines.

As OPPLE continues to grow in both size and stature its expansion into international markets will be a large part of what defines its success and its future potential on the global stage. The Chinese market has proven very lucrative and essential to OPPLE’s evolution as a company. However, without continued international growth OPPLE will surely encounter a glass ceiling.

The opening of a dedicated retail store in the Philippines represents OPPLE’s steadfast commitment to meeting the needs of local markets and furthering its international presence. Iloilo City is an ideal place to showcase OPPLE’s product portfolio and offer customers a chance to experience OPPLE’s lighting solutions first hand.

The city has long been a hub for trade, commerce, tourism, real estate, education and industry in the greater Western Visayas region. This is in large part due to it being readily accessible from major cities. Placing a showroom in a bustling, centrally located city in the Philippines positions OPPLE to expand within the region and its surrounding areas. Strategic decisions about where to place resources and where to amass a sphere of influence will determine the future of OPPLE’s international success.

OPPLE Country Manager in the Philippines, Alexis Beh, spoke to the audience at the store opening. She emphasized OPPLE’s goal to strengthen its position in the international market and the logic behind the decision to open a dedicated retail store in Iloilo City. She said, “The large scale investments in Iloilo gives us full confidence in the city. We are convinced, due to the increasing demand for LED lighting solutions in the country, there will be ample opportunity for OPPLE to strategically meet market demand.”

OPPLE partnered with Antar Trading in 2010 to help expedite expansion in the region. Beh commented on the partnership, “Because of their extensive network in the industry, we have been progressing very well in the Luzon and Mindanao regions.”Strategic partnerships such as this one are essential to OPPLE successfully integrating with local markets and meeting local demands.
